Things to Know 6/29/11

Another day, another post! With the coming holiday I just wanted to let you guys know a few things. I will have access to internet so I should still be able to get another story or two up in the next few days. I'm leaving for New Orleans tomorrow so the next story will probably be posted sometimes Friday. And then I'll be heading back home either Monday or Tuesday - so look for another story then.

I've made a few changes to the Queue page. I've updated the list with stories that I've converted, as well as stories that I'm currently working on and stories I plan to convert soon. So if you'd like to make a request - check that out - as those are the stories that I can get up on the blog the quickest.

Also, if you would like to make a request for a story by an author who IS NOT on the Authors List page, please remember to send me confirmation that they have given permission to convert their stories. If you haven't emailed them personally and I have to, please allow an extra day or two, as I have to wait for their approval before converting the stories!

I think that's everything! Don't forget to check out the polls on the blog, make a request for a story or two, and spread the word!

Hey guys! I'm sorry I didn't get these up yesterday but real life got in the way and I didn't finish converting one of these until late last night. Also, I just wanted to let you guys know that this will be the last post with multiple stories until I get a few more requests. I only have one or two more stories that I know I want to convert, so please make some suggestions so I don't run out of stories to archive!

What to do?

So I have a question for you guys. Now that I've posted a few stories, I would like to know what you guys think about the formatting. If you'd like to give some feedback to help me make these stories better, check out the questions after the cut! Even if you just have some suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Also, look for a new set of stories sometime this week. My brother has a basketball camp Monday through Wednesday, so depending on which day I'm needed up there to help will dictate when I can upload and post the new stories! And don't forget to make some requests! I only have so many ideas on which stories to convert. So your requests will determine how often I update.

Things to Know 6/24/11

Yoooo. First off...just saw the Tumblr post on how to make Stana's friendship bracelet. Going buy yarn today. Is it bad I'm this excited for that? *shrugs*

And in other news, I added two new authors to the authors list today! Both Jessimicah and Kavi Leighanna have given their permission to convert their stories into eBooks...

Second, in case people don't notice that nice little post I made a little while ago, two new stories are up on the blog! A Collection: FanficwriterGHC contains ten stories including nine one-shots and the two-parter Finding Her Perfect. A Collection: TrappedInAMatchbox contains twelve stories including nine one-shots and three multi-chapter stories.

I'm not sure what stories will be up next, but I'm beginning conversion of three or four new stories today so you guys let me know what fics y'all want up next!

Things to Know 6/21/11

So just a few notes for you guys. My internet has been pretty spotty lately, as we've had some bad weather in the area. But I'm hoping make another post tomorrow with a new story. We'll see though. First though, there are a few things that will be happening on the blog in the next week or so.

For those of you who haven't checked out the archives, I did post the new links for the first three stories. However I ended up catching a couple formatting mistakes in daphnebeauty's "And the World Turned" so I'll be posting another set of links for that with the next story post.

Also, I've had a request for eBooks of several authors' One-Shot Collection. I'd like your opinion on whether the Collections should include only one-shots or if two-shots should also be included. I'll be posting a new poll for that in the next few minutes, so please check that out and let me know what you think!

That's it for today! If anyone has any questions about any of this, or even ideas for the blog let me know.

Concerning the posting of incomplete stories, I've decided to hold off on those for a while. The poll seems to be pretty evenly split so I'm going to wait a week or so before deciding what to do with that.

Finally, since it seems that the .epub format is the most popular, I'd like to let the authors know that if they would like to have a certain picture added as a cover to their eBooks I'm more than willing to take care of that. Just let me know you'd like to have a cover art added to your story and send me a link of the picture and I can have that added to the eBooks ASAP.

Update

Quick update guys. I just wanted to let everyone know a few things:

1. I will be posting the updated versions of Sandiane Carter's "A Death in the Family" with the newly posted Chapter 13. 
2. Because of some schedule conflicts coming up, I'll only be posting stories one at a time until I can get a bit of a cushion so to speak. Right now I only have five stories that are ready to be posted so posting three at a time probably wouldn't be a good idea.
3. Third, it's been brought to my attention that the .epub formats of the first set of stories do not include the author when loaded to an e-reader or e-reader program. I'm hoping to have the updated versions of each of these formats up sometime today.
4. Finally, both the Title and Author Archive pages will be updated sometime today so be sure to check that out.

If y'all have any other questions or comments feel free to either post something here or get in contact with me through any of the contact info on the right side of the blog!

Things to Know

So here's the plan. I don't have as many stories done as I'd like, and I have to make a trip to New Orleans n Friday. But the first story will be up Saturday. There's a possibility the first three stories will be up actually. It all depends on what's going on for my cousin's birthday and Father's Day.

Another thing to know... I haven't had a chance to read over every story completely since I've been more focused on actually converting stories. But I eventually will go back and fix any mistakes - paragraph breaks, typos, etc. - and then post an updated link here on the blog.

Also, any authors who would like to add a cover to their eBook please let me know.

Finally, there will be a new poll up on the blog in the next few minutes. I have a three stories that I converted that aren't finished yet. Jenrose1's Therapy, FanficwriterGHC's What Pales in Comparison, and Trapped in a MatchBox's Of Bars and Secrets are all converted and up to date as of today. What I'd like to know is if y'all would like me to post these stories as they are. The only catch is that I won't be updating the links after every chapter, it's more likely I'd update after 3-5 chapters, depending on how fast the author updates.
