- Pulgatti claims it was a kidnapping gone wrong. Three men in ski masks tried to "take him for a tour of the city" when Armand intervened. He was killed on accident (by Montgomery) during a struggle.
- The three kidnappers were identified as retired NYPD detective John Raglan, retired NYPD officer Gary McAllister, and 12th Precinct Captain Roy Montgomery.
