Things To Know 1/18/12

Oh look...I'm still alive!

Hello again folks! I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to get back to the blog. Life has been hectic to say the least this new year. Every time I think it's about to slow down something else pops up. Really considering locking myself in a cave to escape it all.

Anyway! Enough about me. While I haven't been very good at keeping things going on the blog, behind the scenes things haven't stopped. Right now I have around four or five stories going through the conversion process. We've also gained a new author on the blog! One of my all time favorites on fanfiction.net, JillianCasey, has given the okay to post her stories here on the archive. Expect to see something from her here soon. With any luck I'll be posting her one-shot Shattered Friday, followed by her multi-chapter Dangerous Game and its sequel Hunted soon after that!

Next up, I wanted to let y'all know that I'm hoping to get a new blog design up soon. So if anybody happens upon the blog and it looks different, no worries! It's just me, messing things up, like I do.

Third things on the agenda today, I know many of you have requested/are eagerly (and very patiently, thank you) awaiting the epic that is the Dash series by the awesomely talented, super cool Chezchuckles. I'm going to be honest, that series is a beast! Converting these stories into eBooks is a process - a tedious, time-consuming process. In my opinion, these stories that I convert are some of the best out there, and they deserve to be given the time it takes to go through and checked for the occasional typo, have the section breaks, the chapter titles and the chapters themselves formatted, as well as the Table of Contents set up. But Dash Away, by itself, is 100 chapters. And that takes time. Lots and lots of time.

So, I'm giving you guys a choice. There is a site called fanfictiondownloader.net that allows you to input a URL and it will convert a story into several different formats - including eBooks. The reason I don't use this site is because there is no formatting except bold, underline, and italics. It doesn't transfer "chapters" to a Table of Contents, it doesn't transfer the breaks within each chapter. It's quick and you get very basic end product. What I'm offering is to use this - format in the chapters so that you get a Table of Contents and post that. At least for now. Eventually I'll go through and repost the normal eBook. I just can't promise when that would be. So you guys let me know what you think about that. A poll will be up shortly, so be sure to cast your vote!

Ok, I think that covers everything! Remember, I'm always looking for new stories and authors for the blog, so be sure to visit the Requests page if you have any suggestions.

Til next time!
